How do I get a Learner's Permit or Driver's License in Florida?
If this is your first time applying for a Florida driver license you must provide two forms of identification, proof of date of birth, proof of a residential address, and proof of a social security number. If you are a non US citizen, you will need to provide proof of legal presence.
Getting a learner’s permit is a huge step for first time drivers. First you will need to complete the Traffic Law and Substance Abuse Education (or the TLSAE Drug and Alcohol Course). Once you have passed and completed this course, you must then pass your knowledge exam (or the permit test) either onlineor in person at one of our office locations. You must pass with a score of atleast 80% to become eligible for a leaner’s permit.
